Well, it's been a while since I've been able to post. Here are some more pictures from back in April. I'll get caught up some day. We got this dress in a package from my Mom for Easter and Emma just HAD TO put it on that instant. She even put it over her pajama pants. She loves pretty things and getting dressed up. She loves being a girl.

These pictures were taken back in March. There was still a little snow on the ground and it was FREEZING! But, Emma loves being outside so I let her play for a while. Her favorite is the slide.

Emma loves getting into mischief. These pictures were all taken a couple months ago in March, but I find her getting into the flour very often. I love the one where she has a wet paper towel trying to clean it up before I catch her. She does this cute little laugh when I do finally see her. She's very good at getting out of trouble with it because she's so cute.

An Update...FINALLY!

It's been WAY too long since I have updated this blog. I guess I just got out of the habit, and I've been sick, and it's been so long that I've just been overwhelmed on what to say and all. But...here's a quick update on what's going on with the Petersen Family.

We're still living in the Mortuary. We got new neighbors. Our good friends, John and Alicia Linton, have moved out, but we plan on remaining friends. They have a little boy about 6 months older than Emma named Jeffrey. Emma misses Jeffrey so much. For about a week after they moved out every time she heard the new kids playing outside she thought it was Jeffrey. When she went out and found out that it wasn't she would just cry and cry. She doesn't understand where he went. We will have to go play with Jeffrey next week or we both might go crazy.

Cynthia, my sister, has been here visiting. It's been fun to have her here. We've done lots of fun stuff. We'll talk more about that later.

For those of you who don't know (I'm sure everyone knows by now)...we're adding a new addition to our family. I'm due on Thanksgiving Day. We're pretty excited. Actually...today we're EXTRA excited because just this morning we supposedly found out what we're having. I'm only 12 weeks along, but ABC4 news is doing this story about a DNA test called Pink or Blue Early Gender Test from Consumer Genetics, Inc. They picked us to do the story. It just so happened that I was the right amount of weeks along that they needed, so I guess we got lucky for once. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's still super fun. Especially since they had to pay $300 to do a test, and we got it for free! It has been a pretty fun process. You'll all have to watch on Monday night the 18th, the channel 4 ten o'clock news. It will also re-air the next day, Tuesday, on Good Things Utah. And, for those of you out of state, you can watch it online at ABC4.com. You'll probably have to wait until Tuesday, though, after it airs the first time. I hope we don't look too weird or anything. Then, after we got our 20 week ultrasound they'll do an update and see if the test was correct. It says it's 95% accurate and you get your money back if it's wrong. So...we'll see. We're a bit skeptical just because it's such new technology. We're not sure how it works exactly. They just took a bunch of blood from me and they're supposed to be able to tell if there's enough testosterone in my blood for it to be a boy or something. I'll believe it until I'm told otherwise.

Happy Groundhog's Day!

Happy Groundhog's Day everyone! My Grandpa Ben loved this day better than any other day of the year. Is it good news? I hope so. Winter is not my favorite thing.



Emma is not always photogenic. Here's proof. Still is cute, though, isn't she?





Emma loves it when Daddy comes home for lunch. It's usually around when she wakes up from her nap. Sometimes (like today) that's the only way to get her down is to tell her "Daddy will be home when you wake up."

The other day Emma REALLY wanted to watch Baby Einstein. But, Kate from Lost was going to be on Regis and Kelly, so I wanted to watch that. I grabbed the laptop and made it a fun special time for Emma. She loved it.
