Discovery of Picnik

A friend of mine just told me about this website to edit pictures. I am so excited about it. I have been TOTALLY wasting my time playing around with it. But...at least it inspired me to start posting again. I have procrastinated for so long that I needed a little kick in the behind to get to it again. I feel like I'm so behind on so many things that posting on my blog is a waste of time. But...since I've wasted so much time playing with all these edits I figured I might as well make use of the wasted time by posting them on my blog. I still have A LOT to learn about editing pictures, but at least here's a start. I wish I had a super-nice camera. But, I don't even have a "nice" camera. Haha...it's just my phone. 8 megapixels. Yep. That's it. I'm a little behind on the times. But...I love it. One of these Christmas's Santa will get a clue and bring me a nice camera. Haha...:)

A little background on the picture of choice:

One of Emma's cousins, Kimball, is one of her best friends. Whenever they get together they're pretty inseperable. It is fun to watch them play together. They have so much fun and Kimball is one of the few kids that is actually nice to Emma ALL OF THE TIME!! He's such a sweet kid. And...they rarely get into trouble together, and when they do it's pretty minor. On this occasion, we were all busy getting stuff ready for Chad's brother, Cory, to get home from his mission. So...the kids were there, but not really being watched by anybody. Well, Emma and Kimball and ran through Grandpa's sprinklers that had turned on right before dark. This was the result...

Jacob's Almost Crawling!

Jacob is just about ready to crawl. We took this video yesterday after Church. He's getting SO close! He'll be crawling pretty soon now. He's A LOT earlier than his sister was in this department. She didn't crawl until she was a year old. She did some sort of weird scooting thing for a really long time.

Jacob's a mover and a shaker. He can't sit still. THat's probably why he's ready to crawl already.

I can't resist this little girl

I just can't resist posting about this. Emma says the funniest things. She's so nerdy and we love her! I've started keeping a little quote journal to write down the funny things she says and does. I just always forget them. And, some of these I just CAN'T forget. I always regret not writing it down when I miss something.

Yesterday she said something that made me laugh so hard that as I was writing it down today I just couldn't stop laughing. That deserves a post.

Chad had put a sweater on over his shirt and tie for work. When he came home for lunch he realized it was hotter than he had expected. As he was taking it off he said, "Ugh...this sweater is driving me NUTS!" Emma had her Jazz Hoody on because we had just gotten back from a walk. A couple minutes later she came to me and said (in a whiney voice of course), "Mom! I have to take my sweatshirt off. It has NUTS on it!" I had no idea what she was talking about. So, I sent her to Chad to try and figure it out. He realized what she was trying to say. I just can't stop laughing about that one. She doesn't like it when we laugh at her. But, sometimes we just can't help it!

Proud Mama

I know I haven't been very good about posting lately. First, I had the excuse of *the mortuary*. Then, we moved about (almost 2 months ago). And, I still haven't done a very good job at posting consistantly. I keep promising myself that I'll get better and I never do. Now my excuse is that we're still not quite all the way moved in. We still have a pile of boxes and random piles here and there. Once I don't have that excuse anymore I'm sure I'll think of another one.

But...for now...I just wanted to write a post with no pictures. It's easier to do that sometimes. And, hey, I've gotta start somewhere!

I am SO proud of my two little kids. First, Emma just got potty-trained a couple weeks ago and she's doing AMAZING! She's so obedient and tries so hard. She's had a few accidents, but overall I would say she's totally potty-trained. We just need to work on her going on "the big toilet." Haha...yes, we DO carry "the potty-chair" around with us everywhere. In fact, at a YW/Relief Society thing she DID go potty in the car because she was there with me. That'll just have to be one of those embarrassing things I hold over her head later in life.

Second, not as MUCH of a mile-stone for Jacob. But, last night her rolled over a few times. That was his very first time! He sure is a studly little guy.

I'm so proud of both of my kids. They're so fun to have around all the time. I don't know what I would do without them! We have a BLAST together.
